Aggressive Sell Landing Page & Form Design: Government Grant Kit
Here's a landing page to request a Government Grant Kit (not check). It's a very aggressive design with lots of arrows, pointing, and somewhat misleading copy.
This landing page fools the user into thinking that they are checking for Government Grant eligibility or some kind of check (fooled me). It took me a while to realize that the form on the second page was to buy the Government Grant KIT. All the red arrows with the text "Get your check fast!" "Free Grant Money," "Congratulations! You Qualify for a free grant!" is what got me..
The aggressive design style is definitely is worth a closer look, though. We can learn from this.
Wonder how it performs? I bet the 1st page converts pretty well. The second page is probably where users drop off because you realize you're not getting any free money.
Summary:
- Form Label: left Aligned
- Form Column: Single
- Error message: system default style
- Descriptive call to action button text: Get My Money!
- Step text: bottom left area of page 2 form.
Page 2 (Payment)
- Prefilled fields are: shipping option, city, state, zipcode, expiry date. When you select "Expedited shipping" the price tally on the left changes accordingly. Security Lock images used (the one on the left appears unlocked, but the one by the submit button is locked.)
- The itemized price sheet to the left of the form is creative and inspiring. I can see that being used on other landing pages that require credit card transactions.
Anxiety/Friction points addressed:
- Truste Third party logo
- Well known news logos
- Photos of people who received money and what they used the money for
- 100% Satisfaction Guarantee text and seal
Session Time out notice:
- I got a pop up asking me "Click yes if you need more time" while I Was studying this page. Nice way to handle and prevent session timeouts (to track leads) for slower customers.

Love how the design managed to squeeze in the family shot. What are your experiences with family photos on landing pages? do they increase conversion for you?
