Prettiest Viagra Email (Spam) Design

Sometimes I look at my junk mail box to get design ideas from email creatives. Most times they are super ugly, but look how pretty they can be! This one has got to be the prettiest erectile dysfunction related email design I've yet to see. Don't you agree? Bravo to whoever the designer is!

Aggressive Sell Landing Page & Form Design: Government Grant Kit

Here's a landing page to request a Government Grant Kit (not check). It's a very aggressive design with lots of arrows, pointing, and somewhat misleading copy.

This landing page fools the user into thinking that they are checking for Government Grant eligibility or some kind of check (fooled me). It took me a while to realize that the form on the second page was to buy the Government Grant KIT.  All the red arrows with the text "Get your check fast!" "Free Grant Money," "Congratulations! You Qualify for a free grant!" is what got me..

The aggressive design style is definitely is worth a closer look, though. We can learn from this.

Wonder how it performs? I bet the 1st page converts pretty well. The second page is probably where users drop off because you realize you're not getting any free money.

Video Use in Email Capture, Sign up, Download Landing Page Designs

I've noticed a good number of landing pages with embedded video clips.

The videos can be categorized into 2 types:

  1. Hard Selling:
    Directly selling the product - asking the user to use the service, etc
  2. Soft Selling:
    Passively provides background information or instructions to urge the user to make a favorable action on the site (ie. click or fill out a form)

Auto-play:
Hard Sell videos tend to play automatically, while Soft sell videos require user action to play.

Placement:
Hard Sell videos tend to be featured above the fold, while Soft sell video placement varies.

Video Hosts:
Viddler, Youtube, embedded flash
